Where Reason Lives
I begin with a map of the brain in fabric collage, embroider the cerebellum and then embellish with hand embroidery.
This piece features some beautiful tatting made by my good friend's grandmother. It's called 'Where Reason Lives' because it focuses on the frontal lobe - the part of our brain where we hold and make judgements.
After the fiber is finished I stretch onto wooden stretch bars and then paint around the fabric and embroidery. This piece is 8x10 inches and wired in the back for hanging.
It is one of a kind and I will never make another just like it. Ready to ship!
