Summer Blooms -15x17 mixed media neuro art piece in a vintage frame
'Summer Blooms' is my my ode to the wonderful summer we get in the Berkshires of western Mass and my favorite flower - the sunflower. It started out as a brain doodle on my iPad and then I couldn't help but stitch it up. The stitching is dense and took a very long time and I just love the way it came out. Once the embroidery was completed, I stretched it onto an 11x14 set of stretcher bars and painted the background with white acrylic paint. I then happened upon this gorgeous vintage frame and popped it in. It is wired for hanging on the back.
