'Wonder' is a brain doodle in thread. Hand stitched with a variety of colors with a straight embroidery stitch that weaves in, out and all around, inspired by diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. I completed all the stitching directly onto heavy weight artist canvas then stretched it onto an 8x10 set of heavy 2" gallery wrap stretcher bars, and finally painted her with a gold color surrounding all the fiber work and stenciled in the letters to spell Wonder because that just seemed so perfect.. She is wired for hanging on the back and can be hung without framing.
