This painting maps the brain functions through a crazy quilted piece of fabric stitched from found fabrics and trim. A chain stitched spiral indicates where creative thought is located. Random black thread represents fear.
After the crazy quilt is attached to the canvas, I hand embroidered and stretched onto 10"x10" stretcher bars and then (very) carefully painted by hand. This piece is one of a kind! and will never be repeated. Ready to hang - it is wired on the back and the gallery wrapped edges are painted (2nd photo), so no need to frame it.
