Using the Kinusaiga technique of tucked fabric, I built a brain with flowers in it and then painted on top of the fabric with acrylic paint and added some sequins and pins as the stamen.. The design may look familiar. I’ve done it in hand embroidery, prints and in an enamel pin.
This is one of the first pieces I’ve created in this technique, and is being sold as a second because it is not perfect. Signed original art and one of a kind - I will not be making a print of it. Each Kinusaiga piece is 8×8 inches and comes framed in a sturdy shadowbox frame that measures 9×9×1.75 inches. It can be hung on the wall or can easily sit on a shelf.
