On the Horizon - 24x36 original

$3,600.00

My personal ode to Neuroscience research. Looking for the rainbow and it's all around us as we discover more and more about how our marvelous human brain works. This fabric collaged, hand embroidered and painted mixed media piece is 24 x 36. The fiber art is stretched on gallery wrapped stretcher bars with sides painted black. It's ready to hang and needs no frame, just a good home.

Each cerebral lobe is outlined in a satin stitch, and has unique features related to its function. Check out the Hippocampus in the shape of the seahorse that it was named after. Lovely dragonflies circle around the frontal lobe, symbolizing change and transformation.
