The mandala at the center of this piece was painstakingly hand embroidered on artist canvas. After the embroidery was completed, I painted the background to reveal the mandala as something coming through a crack or hole. This piece is about finding peace of mind and mindfulness despite the chaos around us in the world.
Stretched onto museum stretcher bars with the sides painted so it needs no frame and wired for hanging on the back. The mandala alone is also available as a print .
